Smileonthetiles started on 24 September 2005 with an accidental photo taken in View 2 and the final photos were taken on the night of 4 December 2021.

Sadly on 28 April 2023, the face of Smileonthetiles, Alex Christaki passed away.

In its 16 year lifespan, Alex and his team took over 1.83 million photos over 2,350 nights covering 213 venues across Plymouth, Torquay and various other locations across South Devon.
